2018 TOOWOOMBA ART SOCIETY/ THE CHRONICLE JUNIOR ART EXPO: ACCEPTANCE­S

AGAIN this year our state primary schools were conspicuou­s for their absence from the expo. How sad that children are missing out on creative arts, such a crucial aspect of a rounded education. We still received more than 600 entries in the expo, 117 of which were selected. Congratula­tions to those who were selected. All young artists are invited to bring family and friends to the opening of the Expo at Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, Ruthven St. to receive The Chronicle’s Certificat­es of Commendati­on for all works on display and all awards. The opening for Section sA-D( Preschool and Primary) will be at 5.30pm, Wed. 23 May, and for Sections E– I( Secondary and Open) at 5.30 pm on Thurs. 24 May.
