Roosters out to leave their mark

-

TOUCH: Toowoomba touch fixtures continue today with the game of most interest in the men’s competition being the matchup between Rebels Hurricanes and Roosters.

Rebels Hurricanes will start favourites on the back of their good performance last week in their draw against competition leaders Saints.

Roosters, who are sitting in fourth place on the ladder, need to put in a good performance against their rivals today to show that they can compete with the sides above them on the ladder.

In other games Saints should be too strong for Lions and Sharks will go into their game against Lions without the services of Lachie and Sam Pierce who will playing for the North Queensland Cowboys against the Gold Coast Titans in the inaugural NRL Touch series in Townsville.

In ladies fixtures the match of the day sees ladder-leader Roosters playing the secondplaced Sharks.

Both sides go into this game minus players who are playing in Townsville with Rebecca Mi Mi (Sharks) and Ash Kearney (Roosters) playing for the Titans and Brit Brown (Roosters) and Anna Hicks (Sharks) playing for the Cowboys.

Even though both teams are missing players a close encounter can be expected after the two teams played out a 5all draw when they last met.

In other games Lions will be looking to avenge their loss to Rebels Hurricanes in the first round and Saints should continue their recent winning form when they play Fairholme who will be without their most experienced player Georgina Rackemann who is in the Titans side in Townsville.
