Designer showcase delivers...

Including diamond nose ring

-

MORE than 600 guests were invited to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a small gathering in contrast to the nearly 2000 invited to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011.

The Queen and Prince Philip were the last to arrive before the bride, in keeping with royal protocol that dictates those most senior arrive last.

The Queen wore a flared dress in lime, lemon, purple and grey printed silk by favoured designer Stuart Parvin and entered the church to a fanfare. The Duke wore a morning suit and it’s the first time he’s been spotted in public since a recent hip operation.

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall wore an ice pink silk marocain asymmetrical coat dress from Anna Valentine. Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland wore a custom dress and day coat designed by creative directors of Oscar de la Renta, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim.

Sisters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, cousins of Prince Harry, chose more conservative looks after receiving backlash for their millinery choices for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding.

Eugenie, 28, wore a light blue tweed Roksanda Viola dress with a conservative pill box hat by Stephen Jones, while older sister Beatrice, 29, wore a teal dress by designer Gainsbourg and headband by Fiona Graham.

Not to be outshone, motherof-the-bride Doria Ragland was stunning in a pistachio green Oscar de la Renta dress with a matching hat and Aquazzura heels.

But by far the best part of her look was her jewellery of choice, a chic diamond nose ring for the occasion.
