James does job to level series
BASKETBALL: LeBron James put up another dominant playoff performance, and made some history as the Cleveland Cavaliers evened up the NBA Eastern Conference finals series.
The four-time MVP finished with 44 points, five rebounds and three assists, shooting 17 of 28 from the field as the Cavaliers won 111-102 over the Boston Celtics, tying their best-ofseven series at 2-2.
In the process, James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most field goals made in the playoffs, cruising over the Hall of Famer’s 2356 made shots.
James’ 44 points was also his sixth 40-point game of this post-season, a career-high for the 33-year-old.
Kyle Korver came off the bench for 14 points.
“I’ve just put a lot of work in,” said James of his scoring heroics at age 33.
“The man above has given me some abilities I try to take advantage of. I take care of my body and try to put myself in position to do the best I can.
“There’s no love in there if you’re not wearing green,” James (pictured) added.
“They are playing extremely confident.
“If we play like we did in (games) three and four, I think we’ll have a good shot.”
Game 5 is in Boston, and will take place tomorrow. (AEST).
