Biggest FarmFest to date

Agri-marketing event has record exhibitors

-

THIS year FarmFest has reached a major milestone in agri-marketing – the biggest ever event in its 41-year history.

Despite dry conditions in parts of Queensland and other states, optimism is strong in the rural sector.

As record exhibitor numbers continue to grow well past 2000, CRT FarmFest maintains its place as the biggest and most successful annual agricultural event in the Sunshine State.

Once again, more than 60,000 visitors are expected through the gates and there are a number of exciting innovations awaiting loyal customers.

Demonstrations at CRT FarmFest continue an upward trend, with a new demonstration machinery area sponsored by New Holland. This opens up more opportunities for larger machinery demonstrations in the field and adds to the already popular ATV and motorbike, livestock area and on-stand demonstrations.

The livestock area this year will be abuzz with the led steer and heifer competitions, young handlers and young judges competitions, Battle of the Bulls and Fantastic Females competitions, breed showcases and grand parade.

There are also exciting new additions to the area – the ARTC sponsored Glendon Kelpies working demonstrations, along with the popular Australian heavy horse display.

More sites have been added to the static display to meet the ever-increasing need from new exhibitors.

A hallmark of CRT FarmFest is the focus on innovation, new technology and precision farming products and services on display from the growing list of exhibitors.

FarmFest organisers Fairfax Rural Events’ group manager, Kate Nugent, said visitors to this year’s event would be especially focused on how they could continue to develop and improve efficient farming practices and would be on the lookout for products and services to meet these needs.

“The sheer size, product/service range, diversity and national positioning of CRT FarmFest offers unmatched marketing opportunities providing primary industry in Queensland with an unparalleled opportunity to increase its already high efficiency,” Ms Nugent said.

In order to make visiting the event as enjoyable and convenient as possible, ticketing booths will be located in the major carparks, allowing visitors to avoid queues at the entry gates by pre-purchasing tickets when the carparking gates open at 7.30am .

Free CRT FarmFest Official Guides will also be available at the booths.

CRT FarmFest 2018 runs June 5, 6 and 7 at Kingsthorpe.
