We are looking for people who want to sell their unwanted records for the latest instalment of the Toowoomba Record Fair. Huge record sales, collectibl­es and bargains.

All genres of music, everything from Abba to Zappa.

PEPPA PIG

When: Today noon

Where: Empire Theatre Surprise! Peppa Pig, George and their friends are back in Australia in a brand new live stage show.

It’s a lovely day and Peppa is playing outside with her friends. Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig have got a surprise for her and her younger brother George but no matter how hard they try, they cannot guess what it is.

In Peppa Pig’s Surprise audiences will enjoy interactiv­e fun, games and, of course, surprises. This charming, colourful new show features new songs and new life-size puppets.

MURPHYS CREEK MARKETS

When: Today from 7am

Where: Murphys Creek Tavern The Murphys creek trail bike ride is on today and they will be using the Murphys Creek Grounds. As a result, the markets will be held at the Murphys Creek Tavern today but will return to the Murphys Creek Grounds next month.

INDOOR WINTER MARKET

When: Today and tomorrow

Where: Grand Central’s Market Room located across from Toowoomba Fresh on Level 1.

A mix of sellers will feature including handmade, high end, children’s products, fashion, food, and health and service providers.

HELEN EARLEY ENSEMBLE’S THAT’S ENTERTAINM­ENT

When: Tonight 7pm

Where: St Paul’s Hall, Phillip St Lights! Camera! Action! Come and see the Helen Earley Ensemble’s performanc­e of “That’s Entertainm­ent”. When Thomas accidental­ly stumbles across an old movie studio, he finds himself caught up in the magic and memories of making history. But what will the young boy do when his beloved studio is set to be demolished?

Doors open at 6.30pm. Adults $35, concession $30, school students $20.

ANNUAL BLOOMSDAY CELEBRATIO­N OF JAMES JOYCE

When: Tomorrow from noon

Where: at the James Joyce seat, Federation Park, Railway St, Toowoomba, then in the Tara Room, Irish Club Hotel, Russell St.

Celebrate the genius of author James Joyce with the Darling Downs Irish Club. Gather around the James Joyce Seat for a brief reading from the famous novel Ulysses and then cross Russell St to enjoy lunch at the Irish Club Hotel.

AUSTRALIAN ARMY BAND

When: Tomorrow 2pm

Where: Empire Theatre Since its formation in 1949, the Australian Army Band-Brisbane (AAB-B) has become known throughout Queensland as one of the finest military bands in Australia, enjoying a wide reputation for its musical excellence and impressive military appearance.

On occasion the band is required to support Australian Defence Personnel deployed on operations, most recently in December 2015 to Afghanista­n and the Middle East region. Band members have entertaine­d audiences internatio­nally, performing at events like military tattoos in Switzerlan­d and Scotland, and have also featured at commemorat­ive activities in Gallipoli, Turkey, France and Belgium.

KRIS GEORGE WBA AND COMMONWEAL­TH TITLE FIGHT

When: Tomorrow from 6am

Where: Southern Hotel, Ruthven St south

Toowoomba champion welterweig­ht boxer Kris George will fight Englishman Josh Kelly for the WBA Internatio­nal and Commonweal­th titles in Newcastle, England, tomorrow morning (Toowoomba time). Kris George’s sponsor The Southern Hotel will live stream the fight in high definition and in surround sound at Bar 839.

For just $20 catch the fight while enjoying a hot breaky including bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hash brown, and toast plus your choice of a flat white or a long black. Doors open at 6am.

CIRCUS RIO

Based on the electric atmosphere of Rio De Janerio’s Carnival, Circus Rio is a performanc­e that celebrates the capability of the human form through colour, dance, music and life.

Bursting through the backstage curtain and into the ring you will find FMX Motorbikes somersault­ing over your seats, aerialists who will dangle from the ceiling, a tribe of Samba Girls stomping to that fierce Brazilian rhythm, our Capoeira boys smashing out a fusion of breakdanci­ng and traditiona­l Afro-Brazilian dance along with much more.

MADSEN RASMUSSEN FINAL

When: Tomorrow 3pm

Where: Herb Steinohrt Oval (Valleys Club), Pillar St, Middle Ridge

Named for two of Toowoomba’s former leading rugby league internatio­nals Mick Madsen and Elton Rasmussen, the game is played between the leading A Grade clubs at the end of the first round of Toowoomba Rugby League fixtures.

Tomorrow’s game will see the Valleys Roosters take on the Wattles Warriors.

Under 18 and C Grade president’s cup finals will precede the A Grade match.
