RUGBY SEVENS: Every great athlete has a tribe.

Chloe Anlezark and Chloe Cocks literally have one, and it’s willing to help them take on the world.

The two young rugby sevens stars line up for West Bulldogs – a Brisbane-based team playing in the Tribe Rugby Sevens.

The pair’s performance with the Bulldogs and University Saints has been rewarded with selection in a Tribe representative team heading to the Paris World Games in July.

It’s a dream come true for Anlezark who wants to follow in the footsteps of some rugby sevens greats.

“Toowoomba’s Dom Du Toit played Tribe and now she plays sevens for Australia. Charlotte Caslick is the same,” Anlezark said.

“I can’t wait for the experience. I’m really excited, I can’t wait.”

Anlezark fell in love with rugby sevens after her first game.

“I wanted something to do after I trialled for the Toowoomba Twisters touch team and missed out,” Anlezark said.

“There was a rugby sevens come-and-try day and I loved it.

“I love the physicality of the game and the speed. Everything happens so fast you have to be switched on.”

Anlezark has a talent for finding the try line, scoring 52 tries in 25 games, and more often than not it is Chloe Cocks

feeding her the final pass.

“I’ve grown up playing rugby – I started playing sevens about three years ago,” Cocks said.

“I love it because you have to be really switched on.”

The young halfback is a big fan of helping her teammates shine.

“You have to be really smart at halfback – it’s very technical,”

she said.

“I love getting my teammates into the right positions on the field, watching their runs and putting them into gaps with a good pass.”

Seven sports will be played at the Paris World Games from July 7-13 with teams from all over the globe in action GRATEFUL DUO: Anlezark and Cocks are extremely appreciative of the great community support they achieved. The pair wishes to thank the individuals and businesses who generously made donations and supported their fundraising efforts.
