Record achieved for Hillman Street land sale at Wilsonton

NUMBER 16 Hillman Street has transacted for $185/sq m or $754,000, which is a street record for the Wilsonton industrial area for vacant land.

Mr Markus Eames (pictured) from LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba said, “We only had this block listed and marketed for a couple of weeks and received great enquiry, particular­ly from transport operators”.

The address was previously owned by the adjoining business which utilised the yard for storage of their equipment. The 4078sqm industrial lot was improved by hardstand and security fencing.

“The purchaser enquiry for Wilsonton Industrial has significan­tly increased in the first half of 2018, with the majority of enquiry being for land up to an acre or otherwise existing sheds up to the value of $2,000,000 for owner operators,” Mr Eames said.

“We have recently contracted over $3 million of other Wilsonton properties over the past month, which is testament to the market.”

Mr Eames has attributed the increased demand for Wilsonton Industrial due to the lack of supply of new sheds built on land available in Wilsonton which will drive values as more businesses want to be located in Toowoomba’s largest industrial area.
