Hospice celebrates 15 years
THE Toowoomba Hospice is celebrating its 15th birthday on July 1.
Hospice Chairman Graham Barron said the team was excited about the celebrations and hope to raise $15,000 as a birthday gift from the community.
The birthday fundraiser – 15 for 15 was launched at the recent palliative care breakfast.
Mr Barron, who has been a volunteer with the hospice himself for more than 21 years, expressed his admiration for the achievements of staff, volunteers and supporters who have helped in providing professional palliative care service to the local community in a nice home-like environment.
“Toowoomba Hospice’s vision is to provide palliative care based on mutual respect, trust and individual needs and I am proud to say that we do this very successfully,” Mr Barron said.
Mr Barron said the Toowoomba and Darling Downs Community should be proud of the Toowoomba Hospice which has been able to provide
