Delicious new menu at Junk but goodbye to favourites

-

SINCE it opened in 2016, Junk has been a favourite of Toowoomba food lovers.

With its simple, fresh and authentic Asian street food made with locally sourced ingredients, it’s no wonder Junk is a CBD foodie hot spot.

It was brought to Toowoomba by Worldwide Hospitality Group.

But earlier this year the company went into liquidation and the restaurant, along with others it owned such as The Office and the Chelsea Bar, were taken over by an new entity Junk Queensland Pty Ltd.

This occurred in April and since then the company has made major changes to Junk’s much-loved menu, and also closed The Office and Chelsea Bar for rebranding.

The new menu at Junk is almost twice the size of its former menu, with many new additions.

With so many changes it almost reflects a whole new restaurant.

Some new additions include garlic prawns, dumpling noodle soup, crispy eggplant, chicken karaage and Junk fried rice.

It also offers a Junk classic banquet menu. It is for two or more people and offers a range of favourites for $38 per person.

The banquet consists of prawn crackers, edamame, crispy calamari, satay chicken skewers, fried rice, vegetable and mochi ice cream with mango pearls.

Although there are many delicious new things to try, some favourites have been taken away such as the ramen and beef and black bean noodles.
