FOR the third successive year, a Toowoomba hair salon has been named the best in town.

The Chronicle has launched its Best Of series for 2018 and put a call out on Facebook asking readers to nominate their favourite hairdressers

In the most overwhelming response to a Chronicle poll yet, receiving almost 10,000 comments, likes and reactions, Pure Hair was named number one.

Pure Hair received about 5000 votes with loyal customers praising the hairdressers who work for the two salons across the city.

The salons are located at The Ridge Shoppingworld and Westridge Shopping Centre.

It isn’t the first time the salon has been recognised, Pure Hair was voted Toowoomba’s favourite hairdresser in 2016 and 2017.

Owner Taryn Hunter said she was thankful to all her loyal customers.

“I am truly humbled and overwhelmed by our customers’ support. We really put our heart and soul into our job and this kind of feedback is a huge reward for us,” she said.

“We have the most talented group of hairdressers I have ever seen - it’s unbelievable.

“We have such a strong culture within our team. Adding to our success is employing apprentices, it is vital to our whole industry that we don’t get despondent with this huge responsibility.

“It is important to keep passing on our skills to our younger generation and to train our dream team.

“To see people walk out of Pure Hair with a huge smile and a sparkle in their eye is everything to us.”
