SHE’S walked the red carpet at the ARIAs, signed a record deal with Sony, and embarked on a song-writing tour across the US and Sweden, and she’s not slowing down yet.

Toowoomba’s own emerging superstar Tayla Mae, whose real name is Tayla Crotty, has cut her own path in the highly competitive music industry after amassing a huge social media following.

With her unique voice and commanding presence in music videos, she has built a strong online following of fans as she navigates the industry.

Along with an impressive line-up of covers, she released her first original song which climbed the Australian music charts, making it to number 43 without any radio play.

She shot to prominence in late 2017 when she became one of eight people Australia-wide competing for a record deal with Sony Music.

It was while taking part in TheShareSpace competition that the emerging artist flourished under the tutelage and development of singers Jai Waetford and Alli Simpson.

The 30-day music collaboration and talent development program helped refine her natural talent, and she went on to win the competition.

At the end of the competition, she released the first original debut single Come Together through Sony Music with fellow finalists Hannah Waddell, Zachary Staines, Jessica Jade, Damielou, Take Two and Tai.

The official Tayla Mae YouTube channel has more than 24,600 subscribers and racked up more than 1.7 million views.
