THE modern-day business can’t succeed without a web presence.

James Deck knows that, and has understood it, since 2004 when he founded 1300 Web Pro in Toowoomba.

As director, Mr Deck established the company as a leader in web development and digital marketing, growing staff numbers and the value of a solid web presence to boost sales and leads.

After just a decade in business, 1300 Web Pro got the Google tick of approval, an incredible achievement since the web giant only endorses about 5000 online marketing firms worldwide. This validated the marketing campaign work Mr Deck had driven for the company.

In 2016, Brendan McDonald joined as company director and helped develop the business’s marketing capabilities that enabled Mr Deck to double-down on strengthening the company’s programming department.

Two years and one re-brand later and you have Clevvi, a digital marketing, web design, software integration and custom software development business which has since expanded to the Gold Coast.

Clevvi now has a team of 15 across its two offices.

The firm was awarded a government grant to advance a smart vaccine fridge project, and has expanded into Dealer Web Pro which focuses on websites for truck and machinery sales.

Mr Deck is the chair of the Australian Web Industry Association and director of au. Domain Administration Ltd, the policy authority and industry self-regulatory body for the .au domain space.
