08 ALEC SNOW

-

THE sands of Summer Bay may be a world away from his hometown of Toowoomba, but Alec Snow knows the Garden City is home for him.

The rising actor and musician has carved out a name for himself on the celebrity circuit since graduating from Toowoomba Grammar School in 2009.

While still a teenager at school, Snow joined with band mates Matt Holland and James Basnett, and later Jock Houston and guitarist Lachy Becke, to form Interim, which produces a modern rock take on blues and a big dose of heavy soul.

Finding some success in Brisbane the band later moved to Sydney after Snow scored an acting gig on popular soap Home

and Away, where he played troubled teen Matt Page. Initially contracted for three months, Snow starred in the show for three years and his musical talents were eventually written into his story and character development.

While a resident regular on television, Snow and Interim continued to produce music and had completed three national tours by 2017 and released their debut original record, drip fed to the market over 12 months.

Interim also created more than 100 demos and produced about 12 video clips in just a few years.

The lads have taken a short break to recover from a few years of gigs, tours and producing records, and Snow has set his sights on the US for his acting and singing career.

As he follows in the footsteps of famous Home and Away alumni such as Chris Hemsworth and Heath Ledger, Snow is certainly one to watch.
