DALLAS HUNTER
THINK big projects in Toowoomba and Dallas Hunter’s name will be front of mind.
As group manager – property development for Toowoomba’s FKG Group, Mr Hunter is responsible for managing and delivering the company’s investment and development properties.
And in a physical sense, that means the likes of the Toowoomba Technology Park; a 29 hectare development at Charlton, the cornerstone of which is the newly opened Pulse Data Centre.
The success of the developments and the excitement around their contribution to not only the Toowoomba region’s economy but the wider state can be put down to his business sense and ability to identify an opportunity and develop it to the feasibility stage.
Working alongside FKG’s development and design team, Mr Hunter’s role involves market research and undertaking due diligence including feasibilities, acquisition, design, approvals, construction, supervision and property management.
Considering the extent of FKG’s project portfolio, it takes a deft hand to navigate the complexities of the industry.
Well-respected and regarded, Mr Hunter was appointed to the Urban Development Institute of Australia, Queensland as its Toowoomba branch president, a role which represents members and advocates for infrastructure charges and greenfield incentives.
The UDIA and its members are considered expert advisors to regional councils and throughout the Toowoomba branch’s history. It has built strong relationships with the city’s business sector and Chamber of Commerce as it plays a pivotal role in the city’s growth.
