MICHELLE REYNOLDS

-

MICHELLE Reynolds has been on the front-line of the rail resurgence in the region for the past six years.

As the former CEO of InterLinkSQ, Ms Reynolds was the face of the inter-model rail freight hub at Charlton, a project which features a global logistics centre with an open access rail terminal.

InterLinkSQ is a major new component of the Toowoomba Enterprise Hub and one of the nation’s most significant transport, logistics and business hubs covering 2000 hectares.

Ms Reynolds was a key driver of the project and saw it go from concept to its shovel-ready stage, leaving in April this year.

With a background in accounting, Ms Reynolds knows her numbers and has fought for the development of the rail industry and extensively lobbied local, state and federal governments for funding to revive the sector.

Appointed to the Queensland Transport and Logistics Council in November last year, she has continued her work in the freight transport and logistics industry influencing policy, regulation, infrastructure planning and investment to solidify supply chains.

She was invited to the board of iMove Australia, the federally funded co-operative research centre which works with organisations and researchers to develop transport systems.

Prior to that, Ms Reynolds was the principal partner at DC Accounting which she bought in 2004 and developed from a sole-practitioner firm into a multi-partner business.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and is a Chartered Tax Advisor, Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management.
