Brodribb — over 100 years of caring in Toowoomba community

-

BRODRIBB Home Inc is a local charity that has been quietly providing trusted aged care services to the people of Toowoomba for more than 100 years.

During that time many things have changed, but their local and personal service continues.

When you ring, there are no selections to make — you simply talk to one of their friendly and helpful staff who will be happy to assist you.

Their nursing home — or residential aged care facility as nursing homes are now called — is the oldest in Queensland.

Although the original building is still intact, over the years it has been thoughtfully maintained, renovated and extended, and today it is a beautiful place that 100 residents call home.

A fully renovated and beautifully presented Memory Support Unit opened less than a year ago, and in 2019 further major renovations will commence.

Something many people don’t realise is that Brodribb also has a retirement village and offers Home Care Packages.

Under a Home Care Package, care and support services are delivered into a client’s own home, whether that be in a retirement village or in the wider community.

Brodribb At Home provides all levels of government subsidised Home Care Packages — from one to four.

For full Aged Pensioners, standard packages are delivered at no cost to the client at all.

What makes Brodribb At Home special, however, is their staff — they love the work they do and take great pride in delivering exceptional care to their clients.

The clients also appreciate the fact that their services are delivered by a consistent small group of people, so the staff and their clients have the opportunity to get to know and understand each other.
