Teams ready for finals

-

TOUCH: Saints and Sharks battle for a place in the A-grade men’s grand final tomorrow.

Minor premiers Saints will start as slight favourites but little has separated the two teams this season.

Officials and fans are expecting a fast-paced game with both teams boosting plenty of attacking fire-power.

Saints will look to star man Sam Carmody while Sharks will be directed around the park by Lachie Pierce.

The knock-out semi-final between Rebels Hurricanes and Roosters will also be a close encounter.

Rebels Hurricanes will start favourites on the back of their win over Roosters two weeks ago but it won’t be easy.

Roosters will need to shut down Rebels Australian representative Cody Green if they want to record a win.

In the women’s major semifinal, Roosters play Sharks for the right to go straight into the grand final.

Roosters finished the season unbeaten but Sharks have troubled them on a number of occasions.

In the knock-out semifinal, Fairholme will be looking to continue their good form from last week when they defeated the second-placed Sharks.

Fairholme will face Saints – a team that has had their measure all season but if they play as well as they did last weekend they could cause an upset.

Georgina Rackemann (pictured) from Fairholme and Shanae Ciesolka from Saints have been in great form all year and their leadership will be important for both teams.
