New home for The Pestman QLD

A MIXED-use building located in the Railyards Precinct on Toowoomba’s CBD fringe has been leased to prominent pest and termite control specialist­s The Pestman QLD.

In a three-year lease deal, secured on behalf of the owners by LJHooker Commercial sales and leasing agent, Scott Playle, the mixed-use building located at 2 Taylor Street has a net lettable area of 213sq m and was previously home to Toowoomba Outdoor Power Tools.

According to Mr Playle, the building, located on a 405sq m corner block, was a natural progressio­n for the growth and expansion of the local business.

"The location, layout and configurat­ion of the building was the perfect mix for Shane and the team for use as a workshop depot and office accommodat­ion for their back-room staff; while at the same time providing the business with the opportunit­y to expand its service offering," Mr Playle said.

"With a fully fenced secure yard and a motorised high-clearance roller door providing access to a large workshop area, there is plenty of room for loading and parking the company vehicles in readiness for their next job," Mr Playle added.

Following changes to town planning in recent times, the opportunit­y to secure centrally located mixed-use buildings has improved for small businesses such as The Pestman QLD.

"Changes to planning in the Railyards Precinct on the north-western fringe of the CBD is improving the prospects for both owners and tenants," Mr Playle said. "And, as a result, older buildings are being re-purposed from industrial to more commercial and retail applicatio­ns.

"This is a good thing for the area and property owners alike."
