RACING: Roma mare Daytime Dancer made her second Clifford Park visit count when she capped a top day for trainer Wayne Baker on Saturday.

Daytime Dancer ($6.50) atoned for her previous Toowoomba second two weeks’ earlier with victory in the Joe Wagner Group Class 3 Handicap (1210m).

The six-year-old wore down $1.80 favourite Show’em over the closing stages, following a box-seat ride from apprentice Jed Hodge, to score by a halflength.

Outsider Bowies Bayconi ($41) finished solidly along the inside rail to be a short neck back third.

Daytime Dancer’s victory completed a two-track winning treble for the Baker stable after earlier Roma victories to Ruby Red Gift ($2.50 fav) and Mohaka River ($4.40).

Ruby Red Gift took out the Bassett Park Benchmark 50 Handicap after being scratched from Saturday’s Benchmark 65 at Clifford Park.

Oakey trainer Pat Sexton and apprentice Hannah English also completed a successful end to their week when Brutus ($7.50) raced to his first win in bullish style.

Brutus broke through at start number five when he hit the line strongly to down Fionnlagh ($15) by 2 3⁄4 lengths in class record time.

His effort was one of six class records on the seven-race card.

Sexton and English also teamed to win with Burning Mountain at Rockhampton on Thursday.

Money Talk ($2.05 fav) added to Paul Nolan’s winning 2018 run when he out-gunned $3.40 second favourite Carpe Noctem for Nozi Tomizawa to take out the Queensland Electrical Solutions Class 1 Handicap (1640m) by a half length.
