RACING: Popular Darling Downs mare Rosie Posie will be looking to deliver her connections a sentimental hometown win when she returns to racing at Bunya Park tomorrow.

Rosie Posie resumes from a two-month let-up for trainer Matt Kropp in the Dalby Machinery Centre Dalby Cup over 1400 metres.

The $20,000 feature heads Dalby & Northern Downs Jockey Club’s annual dual-cups TAB meeting.

Sharing top billing on the seven-race program is the historic Ergon Energy Plough Inn Cup run at weight-for-age over 1400 metres for maiden gallopers.

Rosie Posie is raced by Dalby club life member Michael Kelly and his wife Val and is undefeated in three runs on the track.

She returns tomorrow after her latest unplaced effort at the Sunshine Coast on June 30.

Her latest victory came in a Bunya Park Open Handicap (1400m) on April 28.

Kropp also saddles Zip To The Moon and Mickey Dazzler in tomorrow’s 10-horse cup field.

Dalby’s cups’ program kicks off a busy two days of Downs TAB racing.

Clifford Park follows on Sunday with an eight-race card.

The program is highlighted by the Audi Centre Toowoomba Class 5 Handicap (1200m) where Mishani Shiraz is looking to break her run of minor placings with an overdue win for trainer Ben Currie.

Mishani Shiraz finished a close second last time out behind the Lindsay Hatchtrained Last Armageddon in a Clifford Park Benchmark 70 over 1110 metres.

Punters are likely to bank on the Hatch stable continuing its current run of success when they give perennial maiden galloper Kimhorsedashian yet another winning chance when the five-year-old lines up in the Gainsborough Lodge Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden.
