An enviable lifestyle awaits

-

LIKE its namesake in England, Cotswold Hills, on the western outskirts of Toowoomba, offers a welcoming country lifestyle that immediately brings to mind lush rolling hills and plenty of room to move.

For decades, Cotswold Hills has been popular with families and retirees who take advantage of the lifestyle associated with large allotments – with the established blocks ranging in size from one to five acres.

Because of the large block sizes available, the suburb boasts expansive homes with many also featuring swimming pools and tennis courts. These added features equal higher property values than the Toowoomba average with the median sales price of $615,000 – this is an increase of 7 per cent for the year.

In general, households in Cotswold Hills are primarily couples with children, with 98.2 per cent of the residences stand-alone homes and the remaining 1.8 per cent townhouses or villas. The majority of homes, at 97 per cent, are owner-occupied, half of which are fully owned.

John Trousdell Park is a central park within the Cotswold Hills residential estate, which comprises two separate areas in the Hamzah Drive section and the Roderick Drive section.

Adjacent to Hamzah Drive, this area of the park has an open space, multi-purpose court, a learn-to-ride facility and a basketball half-court.

Picnic facilities include play equipment, toilets, shelters, barbecues and a rebound wall.
