FEATURING an impressive and accommodating mix of acreage and smaller allotments, with quality modern housing, Middle Ridge is one of Toowoomba’s most sought-after residential suburbs.

Much of the area has been developed since the 1980s with the majority of housing free-standing homes (95.1 per cent) with good yards for families; the remaining 4.9 per cent is town houses and units.

The latest CoreLogic data lists the median sales price at $542,500 for houses (up 1 per cent) and $378,950 for units (up an impressive 22.2 per cent).

Middle Ridge’s popularity is partially due to its many family-friendly attributes.

It is well catered for with primary school facilities with both Middle Ridge State School and Gabbinbar State School within its boundaries.

Park facilities also make the suburb a favourite among families — Middle Ridge Park is among the many quality offerings.

Middle Ridge Park includes two tennis courts with lights, three soccer fields, a cricket oval with turf wicket, cricket nets with artificial grass, a basketball half-court and playground equipment – there is also a clubhouse featuring a canteen, meeting room, toilets and showers.

Picnic facilities include gas barbecues and covered picnic tables and toilets.

There is a fully fenced playground, with play equipment catering for many age groups; the area is wheelchair friendly with an all-ability swing. Golf enthusiasts will be impressed with Toowoomba Golf Club situated in Middle Ridge; the 18-hole course offers golfers of all levels a challenge with some homes backing on to the course adding to the luxury feeling of those properties.
