Wyreema is a place to call home

-

A STONE’S throw from Toowoomba, Wyreema has long been a “go-to” for buyers eager to snap up quality land parcels perfectly designed for rural-residential living.

One popular subdivision is Karara Gardens with Stage One currently on the market.

With stages two and three to come, the Karara Gardens estate will be immaculately finished, with heritage colours throughout, stencilled patterns on all intersections and street lighting powder-coated to match.

Wyreema is an affordable choice with the median sales price sitting at $335,000 (up 5.7 per cent from last year) with many of the homes being brick properties with all the modern conveniences.

The housing landscape is made up exclusively of free-standing houses, with 83.3 per cent of these owned, either outright or with a mortgage; just 16.7 per cent of the homes are rented.

For families with primary school-aged children, there is the Wyreema State School – and it is only a 20-minute drive to Toowoomba for secondary school needs.

Wyreema State School is a friendly, family orientated school and, with a small school environment, the staff believe in the positive benefits of multi-age settings – student programs can be extended or modified within each class to cater for individual differences.

Obst Park provides recreation space with a cricket oval with concrete pitch, cricket nets, two tennis courts with small clubhouse, a basketball half-court and a skate park.

It has various picnic options, including an electric barbecue, a good path network, toilets and a covered playground for young children.
