Chamber helping grow region’s food and agriculture

- JO SHEPPARD Chamber CEO

THE Toowoomba Chamber is pleased to announce that we are launching a Food and Agri Network (FAN) to support the growth of Toowoomba businesses operating in this space.

This is an industry-led initiative which will provide a dynamic platform for Toowoomba’s food and agri businesses to thrive and grow.

The FAN will facilitate the development of stronger linkages and engagement across the Toowoomba “foodie” space encouraging networking, food and farm experiences, education, and the promotion of local supply chain opportunities.

Cafes, restaurants, food outlets, retailers, local farmers wanting to supply locally form an integral part of the developing food culture here in Toowoomba and the FAN will support further strengthening of this valuable sector promoting local supply chain opportunities.

The FAN will provide a local platform to businesses and work nicely to complement other existing bodies and initiatives assisting businesses to access regional and global opportunities in the food, agri and tourism space.

Chamber is delighted to announce Reward Hospitality as our inaugural FAN Gold Sponsor supporting this exciting new venture for Chamber and would also like to thank the many businesses who have helped get the FAN off the ground.

Keep an eye out for our new FAN Instagram @twb_fan and remember to like and share it to help build our community.

Become a “fan” of the FAN and use the hastag #foodFAN whenever you are sharing something locally sourced or produced from our Toowoomba region.

The FAN will be officially launched on Monday, September 10. If you are interested in getting involved in the FAN, please contact the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce through its website at

In the meantime, immerse yourself in our local “foodie” culture and support local buying from Toowoomba businesses and supporting the families who run them.
