AN INCREDIBLE family home in Middle Ridge has sold for a whopping $1.785 million.

Ray White Toowoomba Range and Highfields’ Tony Franke, who handled the sale, described the home as a “unique property”.

Originally the Southern Cross Club, the building was moved from Stuart St roughly 20 years ago to its current address in McStay St, Middle Ridge.

“The owners, over an eightyear period, renovated it and brought it up to scratch,” he said.

The $1.785 million sale price is the highest for a home in Middle Ridge this year.

The home itself occupies nearly 800 sq m on a 2000 sq m block, and features five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

One of the stand-out features of the property is the stunning escarpment views over Glen Lomond Park and beyond.

The residence also includes a massive games room with built-in cold room, enormous open-plan living, dining and family areas, high ceilings and hardwood flooring throughout.

The grounds include a massive barn shed, which could be suited to a guest quarters or external office with mezzanine floor, kitchen, bathroom, and vehicle space, two guest cottages, rainwater storage and solar power.

Mr Franke said a family living near Canberra had bought the home and were moving to Toowoomba.

He said “both parties are quite happy and satisfied” with the sale price.
