LEFTISTS PLAYING WITH FIRE

-

SOMEONE will be killed soon. Someone on the Right will be killed for political reasons.

See, the culture of violence on the Left is growing — and no one on the Left seems even to mind.

In Australia, it’s already bad enough. Former prime minister Tony Abbott was headbutted in the street, masked protesters attacked me outside a book launch, and last week the

Herald Sun’s Mark Knight and his family received death threats over his cartoon of Serena Williams, which Leftist activists falsely screeched was racist.

We’ve also seen the fascist Left use violence to shut down meetings of the Right. They attacked people trying to get to a speech in Melbourne by Dutch politician Geert Wilders and a dinner with Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi. They also attacked audiences of gay libertarian Milo Yiannopoulos and Canadian filmmaker Lauren Southern, and this month harassed people going to hear former UKIP leader Nigel Farage in Melbourne.

Last week, socialists at Sydney University manhandled students trying to attend a speech by conservative psychologist Bettina Arndt.

Yet still, virtually no MPs speak against this culture of violence. Are conservatives now too evil to defend?

But it’s even worse in the US, where the Left’s hate speech against President Donald Trump is whipping mobs into a frenzy. Democrat representative Maxine Waters even urged Leftists to harass Trump officials in the street: “Create a crowd … and you tell them they’re not welcome any more, anywhere.”

It worked. A mob confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the street, the residence of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was picketed, and protesters published the home address of a White House adviser. Where will this mob incitement lead?

Already, during the 2016 campaign, Leftists attacked Trump supporters, leaving some bleeding. More seriously, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot and nearly killed by a Bernie Sanders supporter, and this month a Republican candidate in California was attacked by a Democrat supporter, Farzad Vincent Fazeli, who brandished a knife and shouted about Trump.

Meanwhile, celebrities dial up the hate: “comedian” Kathy Griffin posed with Trump’s apparently severed head, Robert De Niro said he wanted to punch Trump in the face, Johnny Depp suggested assassination, and Madonna talked of blowing up Trump’s White House.

This can’t end well.
