Ali Barter set to rock food festival

HOT off the heels of supporting The Preatures at Blank Space, rock songstress Ali Barter is getting ready to return to Toowoomba and rock the Heritage Bank Food and Wine Festival on Friday night.

The Girlie Bits singer will take to the stage at Queens Park from 5.30pm on Friday as part of the Carnival of Flowers.

Her set will kick off the first night of the festival and will be followed by Cloud Control at 7pm and The Living End at 8.30pm.

A Dusty Springfiel­d tribute show, featuring Wendy Stapleton, will take over the main stage at 5.30pm on Saturday night, followed by Chocolate Starfish at 7pm and The Church at 8.30pm.

The Sunday lineup includes Kyle Lionhart from 12.30pm, Augie March from 4.30pm, Swing on This from 6pm and Choirboys from 7.45pm.

The Food and Wine Festival will run from 10am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday and from 10am to 9pm on Sunday.

There will also be cooking demonstrat­ions from beloved celebrity chefs Adam Liaw and Julia Busuttil Nishimura and landscapin­g demonstrat­ions with celebrity landscaper Jim Fogarty.

Tickets to each day cost $35 for adults, $30 for concession card holders and $15 for children 13 and under.

A one adult and one child pass for each day costs $45.

A three day pass is $90 for adults, $70 for concession card holders and $35 for children 13 and under.

A one adult and one child pass for all three days costs $95.
