DEPUTY Premier Minister Trad will be joined by 12 ministers from the Queensland Cabinet this morning at Chamber’s breakfast event providing an opportunity for the Toowoomba business community to meet with Ministers from a range of portfolios.

Whilst in Toowoomba, the Premier and Ministers will experience first-hand some of the exceptional businesses operating in our city from transport and logistics, professional services, food production through to digital capability, state of the art medical facilities and educational opportunities not only for our residents but the world with USQ, TAFE and so many fantastic schools.

Small business is alive and well, providing over 80,000 jobs here in Toowoomba and Queensland Cabinet will be impressed with Toowoomba’s diverse retail sector, not-forprofit organisations and the developing foodie culture as well.

Representation at all levels of government is so important for small business and Chamber’s breakfast this morning has given local businesses the chance to engage with ministers across many portfolios so that Queensland government may better understand opportunities and challenges facing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) here in our region.

During the week I will be meeting with a number of key ministers to represent our business community on a range of issues including infrastructure, digital connectivity, skills, training and workforce development, research and development for SMEs, innovation and proposed reductions in red tape.

The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce welcomes Annastacia Palaszczuk and her Cabinet to Toowoomba and is pleased to join our business community in showcasing what the city and region has to offer, as well as the strong contribution businesses here are making to the Queensland economy.
