LJ Hooker welcomes new sales executive

-

FOR Lachlan Brealey, Toowoomba isn’t just his old hometown – it’s now an exciting, vibrant city where he’s looking to make his mark.

The LJ Hooker sales and marketing executive knows the Garden City like the back of his hand, having grown up in the region and completing his schooling at Toowoomba Prep and Grammar.

Then, like so many young adventurers, Lachlan headed to Brisbane to continue his education and ‘figure out what he wanted to do’.

He was soon drawn to a Fine Arts and Photography degree, but there was always a little whisper continually playing in his ear.

"While I was deciding if I wanted to go down that path, I kept coming back to my passion for property," Lachlan recalled. "My family has been flipping properties for years, so I’ve always had a keen interest in the real estate market."

The lure of bricks and mortar proved too tempting and he soon turned on his heels and headed back up the Range – with an eye on joining the LJ Hooker team.

"It’s the largest agency west of Brisbane, and I’ve received great mentoring from the day I arrived," Lachlan said.

"I found a culture at LJ Hooker that I wasn’t prepared for, but one I’ve been really impressed by.

"We have a real family feel and work together to achieve better results for our clients.

"When you engage LJ Hooker you don’t get just one person, you get a team. We all pitch in," he said.

Lachlan’s working footprint is in the prestigious East Toowoomba and Mt Lofty areas and he knows all too well the need to showcase these quality listings as professionally as possible.

"Marketing was part of my degree," Lachlan explains. "So, I’m well-grounded in that facet of the business and I’d like to think I have a good understanding of styling and positioning your home for sale.

"I’m constantly doing my research, so I know every aspect of the area and we’re also early adopters of all new marketing opportunities.

"So that means we’re always looking at the most effective and interesting way of doing things.

"It’s all about trust and doing whatever is needed for the client.

"For mine, it’s about building relationships and being the consummate professional in everything that you do."

And with today’s clients being better educated in property prices, Lachlan says you need to offer them something special.

"Buyers are well-informed. They’re going to open houses and are aware of what the market is doing, so you need to be on top of your game.

"You’ve got to be excited about what you do, and you’ll soon find that it’s very addictive," he said.

And that passion for real estate can now play out on the streets he knows so well.

"I never realised how much I missed the area," Lachlan said.

"I’m back now and I want to establish myself as one of the region’s future leaders. I can’t think of a better place to do that than here in Toowoomba."
