SOMEONE in Wilsonton is $2.32 million richer, but they don’t know it yet.

The resident bought the winning Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket from the Wilsonton Newsagency on Tuesday with a registered Winners Circle card.

But Golden Casket officials had difficulties tracking down the lucky player.

“We have tried calling our winner multiple times to deliver the exciting news they are now more than $2.3 million richer,” Golden Casket spokeswoman Ally Ramsamy said.

“Unfortunately the winner isn’t answering their phone, so if you have noticed you have a few missed calls, make sure you answer on the next ring because it could be us.

“It is a great reminder to players to register their tickets and keep their details up-to-date so that we can call them directly with the news should they win.”

Wilsonton Newsagency co-owner Christine Grace said she was ecstatic to have sold a winning Jackpot entry and couldn’t wait to unite the winner with their prize.

When she was contacted by Golden Casket about the win, it was almost too good to be true.

“I thought it was a hoax – this is the highest we’ve given out, the highest before that was $1.9 million,” she said.

“I couldn’t be more excited if I had won it myself.

“If I won it, a lot of it would go to charities and cancer research.”

■ If you think you or someone you know might have won the jackpot, call Gold Casket on 131 868 or the Wilsonton Newsagency on 4634 1937.
