New drive-thru Subway to open

-

GLOBAL sandwich chain Subway is the latest tenant to call innovative retail development, The Intersection, home.

Subway has introduced its first drive-thru facility in Toowoomba at The Intersection, on the corner of Alderley and Ruthven streets, catering to large volumes of motorists travelling between the CBD and southern suburbs seeking convenient and healthy food options.

Subway joins other major food retailers including Café 63, Burger Urge, Baskin Robbins and Oporto in the centre.

LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba Director Julie Stewart said the reception to The Intersection had “exceeded expectations”.

“It’s perfectly positioned as a hub for food operators,” said Mrs Stewart.

“Its location on a major intersection provides convenient access for 30,000 motorists that pass the site every day.

“Additionally, being set amongst the city’s motel precinct and close to sporting fields, the University of Southern Queensland and regional shopping centres adds to its patronage.

“But the diverse mix of quality food retailers now established at the centre is attracting customers from a wide catchment across the city.

“There’s something there for every tastebud in the family.

“Subway’s decision to introduce a drive-thru offering in The Intersection shows the global franchise’s confidence in the centre’s patronage so far and future forecasts.”

Only one retail tenancy remains available at The Intersection. The internal space spans 70sqm with an alfresco eating area of 30sqm.
