Today is our usual men’s triples from 12.30pm. Visitors welcome please call 4639 2338 prior to 11.30am. This Thursday’s ‘jackpot’ is $106 plus a dollar for every person playing today, but you must be present at the draw after the game to win. Clubhouse and amenities will be open from 10am daily. Roll up or practice must be east-west. Check with bar staff. Tomorrow night, Friday, a two-course meal available from 6pm to 7.15pm. Men’s kitchen roster is team two. Next Tuesday mixed Jackpot pairs starting at 1pm. Names can be phoned in from 11am if you are interested in a game. This is a great opportunit­y to introduce new players for a social game of lawn bowls. Wednesday night bowls are now back with the warmer weather. This is another opportunit­y to take up lawn bowls and learn from accredited coaches. Dates for the diary:Thanks to all players in both pennants teams for your commitment in representi­ng our club. The club will host a barbecue with food supplied on Saturday, October 20 at 1pm for all players and supporters. Drinks will be at happy hour prices. This weekend is the zonal stage of the State Division 1 Pennants Championsh­ips where the best of the Downs and Cunningham sides meet to see which side qualifies for the state championsh­ips. North Toowoomba will play Booval Swifts at Toowoomba Bowls Club at 10.30am on Saturday, October 13. Please support our club and the Downs District in this event. The semi-finals of the fours competitio­n have been extended and now do not have to be completed by the October 21. Championsh­ip pairs and C-grade singles first round to be completed by October 28. Nomination­s for the A-grade singles,triples and mixed pairs close at 5pm on October 28. Entry fee $10 per player. We now have available the Toowoomba Sports Store operating out of our clubhouse.
