Fresh face at Glennie

-

THE Glennie School will warmly welcome Mrs Donna Grant as new head of boarding in 2019.

Mrs Grant joins the Glennie community having extensive experience in educating young women in residential boarding environments.

“I am very excited to be moving into the Glennie community. It is a great privilege to be entrusted with the care and education of their young women,” Mrs Grant said.

“The history of Glennie and its ability to foster young women who achieve to their full potential in a ‘home away from home’ environment has been a credit to the school.

“I was fortunate as a young woman to experience a dual lifestyle, growing up on a beef and grain property while receiving a quality education in town. It instilled in me self-confidence that equipped me well to be independent, resourceful and fearless to explore the world.

“Through my personal experience and teaching career, I have found that during these important adolescent years, young women who receive good support and a quality education truly flourish.

“I look forward to continuing the legacy of creating the best opportunities for your daughters and a wonderful, warm environment where they are treated with respect, love and dignity.”

Mrs Grant will join The Glennie School from 2019, taking over from current Head of Boarding, Mrs Val Lovell.

Mrs Lovell has dedicated more than a decade to creating a comfortable and nurturing second home for Glennie girls.

The Glennie School offers a range of affordable boarding options for families with girls in Years 6–12. These include full-time and weekly boarding as well as short-term stays of a few nights when required.
