THE closure of Max Brenner in Toowoomba with only a few days warning broke the hearts of chocolate lovers this week.
But no need to worry — there are plenty of other places around town where you can get your chocolate fix.

The Moose is described as a chocolate parlour and is dedicated to offering up the tastiest sweet treats in Toowoomba.
So much so it even has a Nutella fountain which can be used to drizzle across ice cream, doughnuts and brownies.
It offers diners artisan chocolate, Italian gelato and handcrafted cocktails.
The chocolate fudge brownie sundae is a winner, with a chocolatey brownie topped with ice cream and cream. 2. The Highfields Tavern
The Highfields Tavern is not known for its desserts but has just introduced the chef ’s extra special — a waffle choc mania dessert.
The whopper of a dessert consists of waffles, Nutella, Kinder Bueno and glazed cherries.
Unless you have a huge sweet tooth and stomach, it certainly looks like a dessert that should be shared. 3. Crave Cupcakes
Crave Cupcakes sells some of the most delicious cupcakes in Toowoomba.
They can create almost any flavour you like.
Diners can walk-in and choose from a selection on the day or place an order for a special occasion.
