Venice tour schedule on Fire

-

HOT off the release of their ear-splitting new single My Friend Mal, Toowoomba alt-rock trio Venice on Fire will tour the east coast of Australia next month in support of the tune.

The song, created in the style of Violent Soho, Dear Seattle and the Hard Aches, rocketed up the Triple J Unearthed charts on its release in late September.

Earning praise from critics for its 90s nostalgia, the band now hopes to take its message of heartbreak and angst to a larger audience in November with a 10-date tour.

Guitarist and singer Tom Gillespie said the band would hit plenty of new spots across Australia, including the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Geelong.

“This is easily our largest tour to date, and it’s very exciting to be on the road again after the success of the previous road trip late last year,” he said.

“We hit six cities on that tour and we’ve upped it to nine this time around, so we hope people can come and enjoy the good vibes and tunes.”

Venice on Fire will also share the stage with some of Australia’s most exciting live bands including Deadlights (Toowoomba), Fait Accompli (Newcastle, Melbourne), The Bonnie Doons (Brisbane) and Hot Reno (Gold Coast).

My Friend Mal is now available on Triple J Unearthed, Spotify, Apple Music and other digital markets.

Venice on Fire will play Blank Space on November 9 in support of Deadlights and alongside Oldtown and Empire Within.
