Hay Mate: A Concert For The Farmers NINE, 7pm

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll know all about the desperate plight of drought-affected farmers in Australia this year. Hay Mate: Buy a Bale is a charity concert to be held in Tamworth’s Scully Park, that is bringing great Aussie artists together for a very special night of music, all to help the farmers. The impressive star-studded line-up includes John Farnham, Guy Sebastian, Daryl Braithwaite, The Veronicas, Jon Stevens and Adam Harvey. If you want to support the cause you can contribute by making a donation through the telethon manned by celebrities to raise funds for Rural Aid.

The Wine Show SBS, 8.30pm

The two Matthews (Goode and Rhys) have a pretty sweet gig with this show. Settled into an Umbrian villa, occasionally popping into town for a spot of wine tasting – it’s pretty much what the phrase “living the dream” was invented for. In tonight’s episode they head to the Italian capital to find out why the Ancient Romans decided to mix cheese and wine. For more expert wine knowledge, we turn to Joe Fattorini, who is in France’s Loire valley. It’s not all about the old world wines, though – this week the Mornington Peninsula “one of wine’s best-kept secrets” also gets a look-in.

NCIS: New Orleans WIN, 8.30pm

Another day, another cop show spinoff. This NCIS edition has been running for five seasons, and shows no signs of slowing down. However, the same can’t be said for New Orleans’ lead agent Pride (Scott Bakula, pictured). At the end of last season, he was on trial for abuse of power, separated from his team, and left for dead. Will anyone find him in time? Tonight’s double episode should provide answers. In “See You Soon”, LaSalle is chasing Amelia Parsons after she is seen fleeing Pride’s bar.
