ADAM Hills, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough are reuniting for a night of musical madness.

The trio who helmed the ABC’s much-loved musical quiz show Spicks and Specks from 2005 to 2011 will return to our screens for a one-off reunion special to celebrate Australian music through friendly competition and plenty of laughs.

Hills has been busy in the UK hosting his chat show The Last Leg, while Warhurst has a daily radio show, a podcast and co-hosts SBS’s annual Eurovision broadcast.

While she was excited about the idea of teaming up with her old pals, Warhurst tells Stellar she did have reservations about its resurrection even if just for one night.

“Initially, I thought it would be so much fun – but I didn’t want to ruin the legacy that we had created,” she says.

“When we left originally, we left at the right time, and I was concerned that we would mess up what we had made.

“But as soon as we sat down and looked at each other, it was like no time had passed. The twinkle was still there in everyone’s eyes.”

The team captains will be joined by award-winning rapper Adam Briggs (one half of AB Original), singer/songwriter Ricki-Lee Coulter and comedians Frank Woodley and Denise Scott.

There will also be appearances by music greats, both past and present, who will put their music knowledge to the test, share their anecdotes and perform live.
