Race 1: There was good eachway money for By The Law at $9. Then the money came for the favourite Petain at $2 with one phone bet of $2000 at $2. This put the bookies behind from the start.

Race 2: The bookies got to lay most runners, even if for small money. There was good each-way money for Sonador Fire at $12. Then the bookie got itchy fingers and went $2 the favourite Now You See and paid the penalty. There was one phone bet of $1500 at $2 on the way in. Now You See won easily and the bookies were back in the can.

Race 3: There was good specking for Rosie’s Tiara at $21. Ruby Red Slippers saw money at $9. The favourite in Rosendahl Red was very hard to lay and the bookies were $1.70 with no takers and it was a lucky escape. Rosendahl Red was an easy winner and the bookies dodged a bullet.

Race 4: The favourite in Coco Monsieur was 1$.60 with the on track bookies and no takers. There was strong money for Hamburg at $9. There was specking for Boomtown Babe at $14. The winner in Piginarki was $9.50 and there were no takers to give the bookies a fair result.

Race 5: The favourite in Red Prince was hard to lay on course and was $2.6 with the bookies. Early money was on Von Richter at $3.60 with a phone bet of $1200 at $3.60. There was rough specking for Benico’s Prince at $41. The winner in Atouchmore was backed at $10 on course to give the bookies a chop out result.

Race 6: Only two runners got any attention from the punters. The favourite Amthaal was the best supported and duly got the bickies however a $500 bet on the Westbrook Warrior ensured that the race was not a total disaster.
