UNDECIDED? LET NETFLIX ROULETTE TAKE THE WHEEL

- – The Sun

Tired of wasting time choosing a Netflix TV show or movie? Let a computer do it for you.

A handy web tool called Netflix Roulette makes it easy to find films you want to watch, and removes the hassle of making that all-important decision.

A 2016 survey by Learndipity Data Insights found that Netflix users spend nearly 18 minutes choosing what to watch, on average.

Netflix has an enormous catalogue of telly and films, and that can make it a struggle to pin down a piece of content.

But online streaming guide Reelgood offers a tool called Netflix Roulette that does exactly what it sounds like.

You choose from a bunch of different criteria and hit the green “Spin” button, and then a video will be automatically generated for you.

If you have a vague idea of what mood you’re in, there’s an option to choose a genre – like action, comedy or romance.

You can also select (or de-select) movies or TV shows, depending on what you prefer. But the best bit is the ratings filter system. It’s possible to filter movies based on their IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes scores.

That means you can make sure you’re only watching movies rated reasonably highly, so you don’t end up with a dud.

Of course you could always leave it to chance, and wind up watching a hilariously bad B-movie.

In any case, every movie or TV show result you get will include details on its rating, number of seasons, genre, release year, cover art and a brief synopsis.

Once you’ve got a result, just hit Watch and you’ll be taken straight to Netflix.
