TOOWOOMBA STATE HIGH SCHOOL FORMAL
TOOWOOMBA State High School students added to Picnic Point’s beauty last week.
About 160 students arrived at the scenic look out to celebrate their school formal.
Toowoomba State High School principal Tony Kennedy said it was a lovely night enjoyed by all.
“All the students, parents and teachers had a fantastic night,” Mr Kennedy said.
“A lot of the cars the students arrived in were red and green.”
Mr Kennedy said all the students should be proud of finishing 12 years of schooling.
“The students have spent 12 years at school learning, not just reading and writing but also values aimed to develop character and a sense of right and wrong,” Mr Kennedy said.
“It is also appropriate to acknowledge the efforts and work of your teachers and staff of the school.
“Their contribution got the students where they are today.”
Mr Kennedy said the completion of high school can be viewed as a rite of passage to adulthood and as such a significant juncture in life.
“The significant junctures of life are key moments for us all and a combination of reflection and looking to the future is a very important aspect of this,” he said.
“Over the next week or so these students will revel in the satisfaction of completing school and no doubt enjoy numerous celebrations.
“I wish the very best and successful and fulfilling lives for them, whatever they may bring.”
