Hamptons in Harristown draws a crowd
THE doors to one of Toowoomba’s newest over 50s resorts officially opened over the weekend.
After months of anticipation, the resort, dubbed Hamptons in Harristown welcomed visitors to walk through both the newly furnished display home as well as the stunning summer house, which will form the main focus of the first stage of the development’s recreational facilities.
“We’ve worked very hard on getting the look, feel and liveability of the development just right,” Pradella CEO Warren Harris said.
“We wanted to showcase a real sense of definitive style as well as offering a community spirit that was strong, vibrant and involved from day one,” he said.
“We think we’ve really achieved that through replicating all the best features of the Hamptons style right here in Toowoomba.”
With this obvious nod to the Hamptons, the summer house boasts exposed white beams, timber floors, wide open verandas and lots of glass, and looks directly over the heated pool as well as the covered outdoor area with barbecue, fire pit and a full-size tennis court.
Internally, there’s a kitchenette, bar, library zone and resident lounge to promote relaxed interaction among residents.
On Saturday, the resort hosted a series of events based around wellness, specifically designed so that potential new residents could experience the kind of lifestyle opportunities available within a Seachange by Pradella development.
The master planned resort is worth an estimated $70 million.
