LISA Daly has 18 years’ experience in the wellbeing industry and is a qualified trainer and nutritionist. She also teaches meditation and stress management.
Her book is packed with recipes, tips and techniques to ensure that you spend less time in the kitchen.
Many of her meals can be made ahead, with larger portions for freezing if desired.
I like her pre-planned shopping lists and easy to follow recipes.
It’s true to say that the busier we get, the less healthy some of us eat.
Lisa’s book aims to save time and money; planning she says, is the key to personal success and the first step in relieving stress, thus promoting wellbeing for yourself and your family.
You can even aim to do only once or twice a week shopping and cooking.
Lisa includes family meal favourites, which can be interchanged with beef, pork, chicken, fish or just go vegetarian.
There are 10, 20 and 30-minute recipes, even five-minute preparation time such as Tandoori chicken pizza (using spelt pizza bases). My favourites are honey soy chicken and noodles stir-fry (or replace with rice or cauliflower and broccoli rice), tuna mornay, avocado and prawn risotto (can swap for chicken, pork or beef), mushroom and avocado fettuccine and Moroccan potato patties.
Recipes are clearly laid out, one to a page, however there are no photographs.
