CABARLAH LADIES

I was in Brisbane for the day, Tuesday November 20 at a swimming carnival, so I missed my usual enjoyable game of golf with the Cabarlah ladies. The sky was so blue, and the weather perfect in Brisbane, so I am hoping the same can be said for our beautiful golf course at Cabarlah.

The results are as follows for the single stableford competition, with trophy presented by Jude Bach.

First place to Janelle Kruse on 42 OCB to Linda Ryan 42. Fantastic result ladies.

The rundown went to Hazel Black, followed by Robin MacKenzie and Jude Bach.

Pins went to: 1/1 Meg Chadwick, 4/3 and 3/13 Polly West and 2/17 Paula Heelan.

Next competition on Tuesday, November 27 we will play a stroke round and final for birdie, crow and eclectic, with trophy by Chris Tannock.

On Monday, November 19 the Cabarlah social ladies played their usual monthly competition which was a 9-hole stableford on the first 9.

Winner was Linda Ryan with 22 points, second Jude Bach 20, third Meg Chadwick on 19 and fourth Janelle Kruse on 18. Pins went to: Div 1 Petae Frazer and Div 2 Coleen Lewis.

I have had a request for a little levity in my report and I read this somewhere: “Slow play. The problem with slow groups is that they are always in front of you, and the fast groups are always behind you.”
