1. Silversmit­hing

WANT to learn how to create personalis­ed and textured earrings?

Mikah Hand Stamped Jewellery is hosting a silversmit­hing workshop in Toowoomba on Dexter St in Harristown tomorrow from 10am.

Participan­ts will learn about cover design, hand-stamping, texturing, soldering and basic finishing, and everyone will end up with three sets of earrings.

2. Final social

THE Longyard Country Music Club Toowoomba will hold its final social at the Murphy’s Creek Community Centre on Sunday, December 2 from noon to 4.30pm.

Graham Parfitt will be the guest artist and former members and walk-up artists are invited to perform on the day.

Entry is $5 per person with lucky door prizes and raffles available. Everyone is encouraged to bring a plate of afternoon tea to share.

3. Christmas Cabaret

THE Toowoomba Choral Society Choir will hold its annual Christmas Cabaret at the Choral Hall on the corner of Raff St and Bridge St on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2.

Saturday’s performanc­e will start at 7pm while Sunday’s will be held at 2pm.

Tables of eight or individual bookings are welcomed at a cost of $20 per person.

Lucky door prizes and a multi-draw raffle will be available.

4. PEACE Christmas Party

POSITIVE Empathy and Community Engagement invites everyone to help celebrate its achievemen­ts this year with a Christmas party at Laurel Bank Park from 11am to 2pm on Sunday, December 2.

Everyone is welcomed to the free event to enjoy face-painting, henna art, party games and music.

The event is BYO food and drink so everyone can enjoy a huge picnic under the trees.

5. Outdoor movie

CHAPMAN Park, Hampton will be holding a movie night on December 1.

The free event will include a produce exchange between 5pm and 6pm, a twilight picnic from 5pm and an outdoor screening of Coco from 7pm to 9pm.

6. LifeFlight open day

RACQ LifeFlight will host an open day at its new Clive Berghofer centre in Wilsonton on December 1 from 9am.

The event will feature market stalls, helicopter tours, entertainm­ent and a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the “wall of heroes”.

Entry is a gold-coin donation and all funds raised go to the Toowoomba LifeFlight service.

7. Christmas Wonderland

THE Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland will open to the public on December 1 in Queens Park, with thousands expected to support the event this year.

Last year, more than $90,000 was raised for three charitable causes, including Lifeline Darling Downs.

The wonderland runs from December 1 until Christmas Eve.

Tickets are just $2 for adults. WHEN: Saturday

8. Cent sale

THE Missionary Sisters of St Peter Claver will hold their final fundraisin­g Christmas cent sale at the All Seasons Function Hall on the corner of North St and Tor St on Saturday December 1 from 12.30pm.

Multidraw prizes include a Christmas ham, home-made Christmas cake, a large fruit-tray and more.

Entry is $5 per person which includes a free sheet of tickets.

9. Festive carnival

THE Cecil Plains Lions club will be hosting a Christmas carnival on Saturday, December 1 at the Cecil Plains Recreation Grounds.

10. Movie for Make A Wish

REAL estate agency Re/Max will host a screening of Paddington 2 this weekend to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The film will be screened in the Queens Park Amphitheat­re on December 1 from 6pm.

There will be food and drink available for purchase and entry is via a gold coin donation.
