THREE people charged with armed robbery of a service station have had varying levels of success when seeking bail.

Christopher Lee Doyle, 33, Angela Margaret Morgan, 35, and a 17-year-old girl who as juvenile cannot be named, made separate appearances before Toowoomba’s Children’s and Magistrates Court yesterday.

The trio had spent the night in the watch house after being arrested near Charlton on Thursday afternoon.

Each is accused of the armed robbery of a Woolworths petrol station on Drayton St, Dalby, about 4.20pm Thursday.

Police claim Doyle was armed with a knife at the time of the alleged incident and that he had fled the store with a sum of cash.

It is claimed the two women were in the car and that Morgan drove from the scene.

The teenage girl was granted bail with conditions including living at an address in Centenary Heights and having no contact with her co-accused.

Magistrate Damian Carroll granted Morgan bail on strict conditions including residing at a Dalby address with her three children, reporting to police and submitting to random drug testing.

Solicitor Joe McConnell, for Doyle, said his client had cooperated extensively with police and argued that he could be left behind bars for up to 12 months until the case was dealt with by the courts.

However, Mr Carroll said the Crown case against Doyle appeared strong.

“I’m not going to give him bail,” he told Mr McConnell and remanded Doyle in custody. Each of the three will have their respective cases mentioned in court on January 31.
