TOOWOOMBA residents are bringing the spirit of Christmas to the streets, decorating their homes with twinkling lights and displays.

Christmas lights are a highlight of the festive season and something that Toowoomba neighbourhoods embrace each year.

30 households have signed up to take part in The Chronicle’s Toowoomba Christmas Lights 2018 Competition.

From tomorrow until December 24 residents are invited to drive around town, view the lights and even chat with the homeowners about their displays.

With many dazzling displays and December now upon us, it is the perfect way to get into the spirit.

The Chronicle is also giving readers the chance to vote for their favourite Christmas lights display.

To vote, find the Readers’ Choice entry form in The Chronicle’s Christmas Carols Guide in yesterday’s newspaper. Then deliver or post the entry into The Chronicle office at 109 Neil St by 4pm on Tuesday, December 18.

The Christmas lights maps and voting form will be published again in The Chronicle on Saturday, December 8.

Every voter goes in the draw to win a $200 gift voucher to Toowoomba Betta Home Living.

The Christmas Lights winners will appear in The Chronicle on Saturday, December 15.

The Readers’ Choice winners will appear on Wednesday, December 19.

The Toowoomba Christmas Lights Competition is sponsored by Toowoomba Betta Home Living.
