A NEW fashion and gift ware retailer has opened in Toowoomba just in time for Christmas.

Coco and Blush originated in Pittsworth and due to its popularity in-store and online, owners Laura Paton and her mum Dianne Paton decided to open a store in Toowoomba.

Opening at The Ridge Shoppingworld on Saturday, Laura said she was thrilled to offer her products to shoppers.

“Support from our local customers has been amazing,” she said.

“Customers love our Avarcas footwear, for both kids and adults, plus our gift ware range and jewellery which I import internationally.

“We opened the doors to our new store early because we had a huge line up outside which was more than what we expected but it was very exciting.”

Coco and Blush is described as a boutique retailer that sells a range women’s clothing, shoes, handbags and hats, as well as home decor and gifts.

To celebrate its opening customers were able to get free mini makeovers and take home goodie bags.

The Ridge Shoppingworld centre manager Noelene Major said it was an exciting opportunity for the mother-daughter duo to develop their customer base in Toowoomba.

“We are working on evolving our retail mix and offer for the future,” she said.

“Having Laura and her team joining The Ridge, together with her unique variety of gift ware and clothing is in line with our future planning for the centre.”
