December heralds year’s final Business at Dusk event

- JO SHEPPARD Chamber CEO

BUSINESS at Dusk is Chamber’s signature business networking event held each and every month.

A partnership between Chamber and the University of Southern Queensland, Business at Dusk is a relaxed and enjoyable way in which to build your networks and learn more about the local business community.

Business at Dusk is held at a different Toowoomba business each month and attended by between 150 – 250 people depending on the venue capacity.

This week will see our last Business at Dusk for 2018 being held at Heritage Bank this Thursday, December 6 – a great way to finish the year.

With a history stretching back to 1875, Heritage Bank are one of the longest standing financial institutions in Australia. It is our nation’s largest mutual bank and has built a strong reputation as a bank that cares about its customers and its community. With its head office still based in Toowoomba, Heritage has developed a high level of community visibility through its long-term commitment to supporting events large and small including Chamber’s very own annual business excellence awards.

Innovation and community are clearly at the core of Heritage Bank’s values and just last week Heritage Bank joined Woolworths in launching a new initiative – the Woolworths Organic Growth Fund.

The Woolworths Organic Growth Fund has been established by Woolworths to support investment in Australian organic farming projects.

Through the Woolworths Organic Growth Fund, Woolworths will invest up to $30 million over a five-year period with this funding being made available to eligible Australian farmers in the form of financial grants and interest-free loans.

Woolworths has chosen to partner with Heritage Bank as the financial administrator for the Fund.

What a great initiative and fantastic to see it being launched right here in our region. If you would like to join us at Heritage Bank for our last Business at Dusk for the year please book ASAP through www.toowoombachamber.com.au as there are only a handful of tickets still available.

I look forward to seeing you there on Thursday night.
