Blackkklan­sman Foxtel’s Store

It’s the early 1970s and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington, above) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, he teams up with seasoned cop Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver) to infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan in this comedic drama directed by Spike Lee and based on real-life events. Expect to laugh out loud one minute and be appalled the next.

MYSTERY Murdoch Mysteries

13th Street 117, 8.30pm This Canadian series is set in the 1890s and follows Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson), who uses radical forensic techniques like fingerprin­ting to solve some of the Toronto’s most gruesome murders. Season 12 of the internatio­nally acclaimed series sees Murdoch and coroner Dr Julia Ogden (Helene Joy) move into a new home with a whole host of new problems.

Secret City Foxtel On Demand

Inspired by the best-selling novels The Marmalade

Files and The Mandarin Code, this series follows senior political journo Harriet Dunkley (Anna Torv) who uncovers a secret city of interlocke­d conspiraci­es in Canberra that will threaten her career, her life and endanger the freedom of every Australian. This ripper Aussie series stars Jacki Weaver (pictured right), Marcus Graham, Alan Dale, Sacha Horler and Alex Dimitriade­s.

NCAA College Basketball ESPN 508, 11am

Tanner Krebs (Saint Mary’s), Deng Riak (Akron), Mason Peatling (Eastern Washington) and Jack White (Duke) are just some of the Aussies worth watching in the 2018/19 college basketball season that is well underway. Of course, when it comes to homegrown talent that rarely disappoint­s, it’s hard to go past Dejan Vasiljevic (Miami), who will no doubt be a superstar of the future.

CLASSIC The Devil’s Playground

Masterpiec­e Movies 407, 10.25pm Written, produced and directed by Fred Schepisi, this Aussie classic tells the story of 13-year-old Tom Allen (Simon Burke), whose faith is put to the test when he enters a super-strict Catholic seminary in 1950s Victoria. You’ll be glad it’s 2018 when all is said and done.

DOCUMENTAR­Y The Real SVU

CI 609, 9.30pm Legendary prosecutor Linda Fairstein was the head of the Special Victims Unit in New York City for more than three decades and the inspiratio­n for the long-running Law & Order series. In this hour-long doco she sheds light on one of her most famous cases involving the death of a successful swimsuit designer who was found dead at an exclusive Manhattan hotel.

DOCUMENTAR­Y The Directors

Foxtel Arts 133 / 806, 8pm This new series looks at the humble beginnings of some of the 20th century’s most iconic film directors – think Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, William Wyler and Sam Peckinpah – and how they all went on to redefine cinema. If you’re a movie buff, you won’t want to miss it.

MUSIC Luke Combs Live at CMC Rocks

Country Music Channel 815, 8pm Country music star Luke Combs was the name on everyone’s lips at CMC Rocks 2018. Be prepared to be blown away when the North Carolina native hits the stage to perform his hits When It Rains it Pours, One Number Away, She Got The Best Of Me and Hurricane.

REALITY Unanchored

Arena 112, 9.30pm Follow a group of best friends as they leave behind their high-level careers and embark on their next travel adventure – swanning around the Bahamas on a luxurious catamaran. Of course, it’s not all smooth sailing when cabin fever hits, tensions flare and relationsh­ips are put to the test. Well, for them anyway.
